Balodis Incorporated began in Hopewell, Nova Scotia in 1981, under the name Balodis Custom Bulldozing. Work during the early years focused on land-clearing and FTL freight, with customer satisfaction being our guiding principle. To this day, regardless of the task, we always strive to deliver an unprecedented level of service and expertise to our clients.

Over the years, the company expanded, and incorporated in 1986, embracing new challenges in dynamic markets, without ever compromising our commitment to our core customer base. Quickly outgrowing the facility in rural Nova Scotia, Balodis moved to a new location, positioning the business to better serve clients and enable our continued diversification. What started with one truck and one bulldozer has now become a multi-discipline organization with specialized equipment to service the Marine, Civil, Renewables, Concrete Infrastructure, Transportation and Crane sectors. Still family owned and operated, our team at Balodis Inc. continues to adapt and take on new challenges and projects.
